Ron Muko, age 61, of Owings, Maryland, passed away on January 15, 2025 surrounded by his family in Washington, D.C. Born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Herman and Mary (Kachurik) Muko and the beloved husband of Sharon (Rozic) Muko.
Ron was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving as an 0351 Anti-Tank Assaultman from 1982 to 1986. He carried the discipline and dedication instilled by his Marine Corps service throughout his life. He was an active member of the Marine Corps League Free State Detachment, where he shared camaraderie and mutual support with fellow Marines.
He was a 1981 graduate of Quaker Valley High School. An automotive enthusiast, Ron found great joy in attending and participating in the Carlisle Ford Nationals car shows in Pennsylvania. He was passionate about classic cars and spent many hours immersed in the automotive community. In his personal life, he enjoyed lawn work, gardening, and home improvement projects, always striving to create a welcoming and beautiful environment for his family.
Ron had a deep appreciation for nature and photography, often capturing stunning images of sunrises and the moon along the North Beach boardwalk. Relaxing by the beach and listening to classic rock music was a favorite pastime. As an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he would cheer for his team with enthusiasm!
Above all, Ron adored his family and his loyal dog, Jackie, who was his constant companion. His warmth, humor, and dedication to those he loved will be deeply missed.
In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by his daughters, Julia Muko and Elizabeth Muko; sisters, Cynthia Bailey (Frank) and Amy Minnock (Michael); Ron is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas Muko and Daniel Muko.
