Rometta Mitchell

ROMETTA MITCHELL, age 72, of Joppa, MD, died on August 11, 2008 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Born in Beaver Dam, KY, she was the daughter of Betris Tarrance Heflin of Hartford, KY and the late Hayward Heflin. She retired from Magnolia Middle School where she was a teacher's aide. A longtime member of Salem United Methodist Church, she was also a member of the Flying Geese Quilt Guild.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her husband, Alexander "Sandy" Mitchell of Joppa, MD; three children, Susan Shillenn and her husband, Thomas, of Glen Burnie, MD, Brian Mitchell and his wife, Diane, of Norrisville, MD, and Andrew Mitchell and his wife, Kat, of Yemen; two brothers; three sisters; and four grandchildren, Rebecca Shillenn of Allentown, PA, Kendra and Cara Shillenn of Glen Burnie, MD, and Lila Mitchell of Norrisville, MD.
