Roger Randall Butash

Roger Randall Butash, age 68, of Joppa, Maryland, passed away suddenly on December 25, 2024, at his home. Born in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of Clarence Allen Butash and Betty Lynn (Moore) Butash, and the beloved husband of the late Dorine (Spurlin) Butash, with whom he shared 37 years of marriage. He had two daughters Kara Lynn Butash and Courtney Dawn Butash who he loved more than anything in the world.

Roger had a zest for life and a passion for many hobbies. He enjoyed watching movies, collecting DVDs, and online shopping. A lover of animals and an enthusiastic entertainer, Roger found great joy in spending time with friends and connecting with others through long conversations. He spent many years as a cabinet maker and took pride in building anything he could imagine. He was an avid traveler while his father was in the military and a professional skydiver in his younger years, embracing adventure at every turn.

He is survived by his daughter, Courtney Butash; his cherished grandson, Isaac McDonald; brothers, Glenn Smith and Sterling Smith; aunt Shirley Moore Young, and uncle Lincoln Moore and special cousins, Leanna Hairston and Kimberly Campbell.
