Leonard Rockwell "Rocky" Johnson, age 64, of Edgewood, MD, died on January 12, 2011 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Winchester, VA, he was the only son of the late Edith Eleanor Johnson Amos. A Harford County resident for over 50 years, he served our country in the U.S. Army. He was employed with BGE as a meter reader and retired after 30 years of service. He currently worked at the Edgewood Home Depot as a millwork specialist and enjoyed his part-time job, driving for Tim Foster's Absolute Elegance Limo Company. His family and friends were always his first concern. His hobbies included photography, collecting hats and fast cars.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 40 years, K. Linda Harris Johnson of Edgewood, MD; children, Keva J. Johnson and wife, Heather, of Abingdon, MD, Jackson Rockwell Johnson Sr. and wife, Meredith, of Bel Air, MD, Connie A. Cheeks of Edgewood, MD, Al Petie Cheeks of Charlotte, NC and Kimberly K. Johnson of Edgewood, MD; grandchildren, Olivia N. and Myles Rockwell Johnson of Abingdon, MD, Desierae N. Hill and Jackson Rockwell Johnson Jr., both of Bel Air, MD, Te'nae A. Cheeks of Charlotte, NC, Ja'len C. and Ja'taun A.N. Cheeks, both of Edgwood, MD, and Anisa N.G. and Sydney J.E. Ray, both of Edgewood, MD; and special great niece, Alexandria A. Alford of Edgewood, MD. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his grandson, Elijah Rockwell Johnson.
