Roberta Johnson

August 16, 1924 — June 1, 2006

ROBERTA JOHNSON, age 81, of Bel Air, MD, died on June 1, 2006 at the Hart-Heritage Home in Street, MD.

Born in Fallston, MD, she was the daughter of the late Milford Raymond and Annie Mary Walker Morgan and the wife of the late R. Wilson Johnson, Sr.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking and was a member of a homemaker’s club in Harford County. She was a long-time member of Bel Air United Methodist Church who took communion to shut-ins along with the minister of the church. She was a volunteer for Meals for Wheels, was active in the Boy Scouts and was a Den Mother. She was also a “marching mother” with the Bel Air Lassies.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by two sons, Raymond Wilson Johnson, Jr., and his wife, Carol, of Churchville, MD and Jerry Johnson, and his wife, Agnes, of Bel Air, MD; one daughter, Leigh Ann Lochary of Bel Air, MD; one sister, Edna May Crandell of Green Valley, AZ and six grandchildren, Scott Johnson and Megan Johnson, both of Churchville, MD, Nicole Johnson, Ashley Johnson, Amanda Johnson and Shawn Lochary, all of Bel Air, MD.

Services were held on Monday, June, 5, 2006 at the Bel Air United Methodist Church with Rev. Barry E. Hidey and Rev. Marguerite B. Groseclose officiating. Interment was in Centre United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Shawn Lochary, Douglas Graham, Steven Cibrowski, Walter Johnson, Joseph White, and Mike Lochary.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 800 Wyman Park Drive, Suite 110 Baltimore, MD 21211, or to the Alzheimer’s Disease Association 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
