Robert W. Heinlein

Robert W. Heinlein, age 76, of Bel Air, MD, died on April 22, 2009 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late John J. and Agnes Lillian Melke Heinlein. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he worked as a computer operation specialist for a steel manufacturer. He was past President of the Loch Raven Optimist Club, past Zone Lt. Governor of the Maryland Optimist Club and post member of the American Legion #183 of Parkville, MD, an avid golfer and Civil War buff.

Mr. Heinlein is survived by his wife, Shirley (nee Cunzeman) Heinlein of Bel Air, MD; sons, Michael J. Heinlein of Towson, MD and Robert M. Heinlein, and wife, Patricia of Abingdon, MD; daughters, Donna H. Haraka, and husband, Ronald L. of Clifton, NJ and Janine H. Canfield, and husband, Brien W. of Bel Air, MD; grandchildren, Ronald C. Haraka, Dane R. and Rose L. Canfield, Robert C. and Christina R. Heinlein, James R. Shepard, and wife, Jennifer, Jennifer L. Beeghley, and husband, Daniel; and great grandchildren, Olivia and Dayton Beeghley and Kylie Shepard. He was also predeceased by a granddaughter, Grace C. Canfield.
