Robert S. Abbott, (Ret. Csm Usarmy)

Robert S. Abbott, (Ret. CSM US Army), age 81, of Aberdeen, Maryland passed away on December 13, 2022 at his home. Born in Waukon, Iowa, he was the son of John and Dorothy (Carter) Abbott and husband of the late Ursula (Hauff) Abbott. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired after 30 years of service in 1988 as a Command Sergeant Major. He then became a supervisor of security for AAI in Baltimore and retired from that position in 2006 after 18 years of service. He was a truly devoted husband and he spent many hours taking care of the house and lawn. He was "Raven Ready" and loved watching football and baseball. Robert loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his sons, James (Mari) F. Abbott, Robert (Beverly) T. Abbott, Joseph (Kathy) R. Abbott and Richard (Dana) E. Abbott; daughters, Patricia E. Saul, Jacqueline E. Abbott and Loretta (Kevin) E. Atchison; grandchildren, Becky & Tammy Abbott, Stefanie Saul, Robert, Ashlee & Joshua Abbott, Catherine Abbott, Christina Cook, Savana Abbott Chauvin, Richard, Sydney & Dani Abbott; and many great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, John R. Abbott.
