Robert Rowland, aged 69, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on April 8, 2024, at Franklin Square Hospital in Rosedale, Maryland. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, he was the beloved son of the late Norman and Narcisa (Campo) Rowland, and devoted husband of Cheryl Rowland for 43 years. Robert was a pillar of his community and a dedicated member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church.
With a career spanning two decades as the Chief Information Officer for Knoll Inc. in Pennsylvania, Robert was renowned for his unwavering commitment to excellence. His passion for technology and innovation was matched only by his dedication to his work, leaving an indelible mark on the field of IT. Just a year away from retirement, he continued to inspire those around him with his drive and professionalism.
Beyond his professional achievements, Robert was a fervent supporter of the Baltimore Ravens and the Orioles, finding solace and joy in cheering for his favorite teams. He found relaxation in the simple pleasures of tending to his yard, often accompanied by his faithful canine companions. However, his greatest joy came from spending quality time with his cherished family, especially his sons Andrew, Rob (Maura), and Jonathan, as well as his adored grandson, Jackson Rowland.
In addition to his immediate family, Robert is survived by his loving sister, Linda (Paul) Goguen. He was preceded in death by his mother, Narcisa Rowland, and father, Norman Rowland.
