Robert R. Stewart

Robert R. Stewart, age 92, of Churchville, MD died on August 24, 2106 at Hart Heritage in Street, MD. Born in Creston, NC to Robert Lee and Rosa Danford (Goodman) Stewart, he was the husband of the late Bonnie R. (Stuart) Stewart. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country during WWII and was a supply officer for the USA Biomed Lab, Aberdeen Proving Ground (Edgewood Area). He loved bowling in his earlier years and even traveled far and wide to compete. He enjoyed all sports, especially college basketball and the Orioles. He made people laugh with his good nature and with his funny stories.

Mr. Stewart is survived by his daughter Patricia Schafer and her husband, Richard, of Havre de Grace; his grandson, Gary R. Schafer of Atlanta, GA; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers, Frederick and Earl Stewart and his sisters, Ethel Stewart Osborne, Mildred Stewart Garrison, Eva Stewart Ohman and Neva Stewart Schmude.
