Robert P. "Bob" Mehr

Robert P. "Bob" Mehr, age 86, of Bel Air, MD passed away on June 25, 2013 at Lorien Riverside in Belcamp, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late Paul P. and Evelyn Geary Mehr. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served our country during WWII. He graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Maryland and was employed as an Educational Officer at Aberdeen Proving Ground. He was a parishioner of St. Margaret Catholic Church and a member of the choir for 40 years. He was also an avid bowler and a member of the Knights of Columbus Cardinal Gibbons Council.

Mr. Mehr is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rita Stachelek Mehr; sons, Michael P. Mehr and wife, Susan, of Joppa and Thomas P. Mehr and wife, Mary Jo, of Manassas, VA; daughters, Christina M. Waltz and husband, Keith, of Lancaster, PA and Karen L. Temsook and fiancé, Stephen Bauer, of Parkville; grandchildren, Jessica and husband, Dale, Melissa and husband, David, Erin and husband, Jeff, Lauren, Emily, Benjamin, Thomas, Nicholas, Robert, Rachel, Sarah, James, Maura and husband, Will, and Steven. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by his sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Flottemesch and aunt, Marie Forney.
