Robert N. Turner Jr.

Robert N. Turner Jr., age 70, of Aberdeen, Maryland passed away on December 30, 2017 at Gilchrist Hospice @ GBMC in Towson, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Robert Nixon Turner Sr. and Mary Anita (Freter) Turner.

He was a 1965 graduate of Bel Air High School and attended St Mary’s College of Maryland.
He was employed at Kunkel Service Company until he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam as a Communication Specialist. After an Honorary discharge from the U. S. Army he started his career with Western Electric/Ma Bell/Verizon. He retired from Verizon in 2003 after more than 30 years of employment. He worked at Courtland Hearth and Hardware part time until his passing. He was a member of the St. Lawrence Lodge #13. He enjoyed golfing and boating.

Bob is survived by four sisters, Patricia A. Burkhart (Paul) of Surprise, AZ, Mary K. Entler of Tucson, AZ, Judith A. Umbarger (Rich) of Surprise, AZ and Sarah (Sallie) T. Bunce of Bel Air; brother, Thomas E. Turner (Laurie) of Kingsville; and his beloved, Annamarie.

He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews and 21 great nieces and nephews.
