Robert D. Miller, 42, of Abingdon, Maryland, passed away on January 21, 2025 with his family by his side. Born in Buffalo, New York, Robert was the beloved son of William and Amy (Findlay) Miller and the devoted husband of Erica (May) Miller.
A lifelong Buffalo Bills fan, he wore the love of his team on his sleeve - often literally. He never missed an opportunity to share his passion with friends and family, attending as many games with them as he could.
His passion for the Bills was rivaled only by the love he had for his family. His focus was always on the wellbeing of his loved ones. His favorite place to be was with his family.
As an elementary and then later a high school counselor, Robert’s impact was felt by countless students and their families. His care, thoughtfulness and unwavering support helped guide many young people toward a brighter future.
Robert’s ability to find the levity in any situation made him a treasured friend and colleague. His sense of humor and positive attitude were infectious, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.
In addition to his wife and parents, Robert is survived by his son, Carter Miller; brothers, Eric Miller, and John Miller and his spouse Tia; sister, Danielle Yacono, and her spouse Paul; parent-in-laws, Sandra and Jay May; nephews, Cody Lee, Richard Chmiel, Jr., and Zachary Chmiel and niece, Emma Miller. And friends who will forever cherish his memory. He was a devoted husband, a beloved son, and a cherished friend. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
