Robert Marshall Kock Sr., age 73, of Bel Air, MD passed away on March 25, 2016 at Lorien in Bel Air, MD. Born in Long Branch, NJ, he was the son of Winston Edward and Kathleen Redmond Kock. In 1960 he attended the University of Colorado, 1961 University of Michigan and in 1962 University of Bristol, England. Bob began as a manager of Pan American Airways, and then spent over 30 years as a Global Investment Banker based in London, Paris and New York, initially as a Vice President for Goldman Sachs and later Senior Managing Director for Smith Barney International for the London and Paris offices. He was a consultant for Little & Co. in London, and Intercapital Securities, Inc., in New York City. The President, and C.E.O. of his own firms RMK International Securities Incorporated, in Hilton Head, South Carolina, and Global Financial Resources in Darien, Connecticut. Most recently he was President, and Chief Executive Officer of ICM (Investors Capital Management, Inc.) in Rowayton, CT. He was a founding member of the New Canaan Society, in New Canaan, Connecticut; a member of the Vestry and Senior Warden at St. Luke's Episcopalian Church in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; a member of the Association International Bond Dealers; a member of The Bond Club in London, Annabel's of London, and The Hurlingham Club in London. He thoroughly enjoyed sailing, skiing, and golf.
Bob is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sherry Tranum; children, Cristy Langan, Kim Norris, Caroline Christie, Marshall Kock-Redmond; grandchildren: Hannah, Ben, Lindsey, Jamie and Sophie; and sister, Kathie Hewko. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Winston Kock Jr.
