Robert K. Marcus

Robert K. Marcus, age 74, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on June 21, 2023 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Max and Madeline (Paluch) Marcus and devoted husband of Joan F. Marcus. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Vietnam War. He took an early retirement at age 50 to enjoy his next chapter in life and enjoy it he did.  He was an avid traveler and enjoyed planning trips with   Joan where they saw the world together. The highlight of Robert's days was spending time in Wildwood, NJ and the many days he spent with his beloved grandchildren.
     
In addition to his wife Joan, Robert is survived by his son, Andrew Marcus; daughter, Joanna Hershner and son-in-law Kevin Hershner; grandchildren, Riley, Emily, Jaxon, Abigail, Benjamin, and Ryan; sisters, Judie DiSanto, Debbie Eichman, and Kim Gerland; in-laws, Peter DiSanto, Tim Gerland, Rosemary Marcus, Nancy Waits, Carol Bleistine and Beth Dellow, Peggy and Alan Irby, George and Nancee Bleistine.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Jerry Marcus, brothers-in-law, James Eichman and Tom Bleistine and niece, Colette Bleistine.

To remember Bob’s love of Hawaiian shirts and travel, guests are invited to wear a Hawaiian shirt to the visitation on July 5, 2023.
