Robert Madison Holmes

ROBERT MADISON HOLMES, age 60, of Abingdon, died at his home on March 16, 2005. Born in Reedley, California, he was the son of the late John Webb, Sr. and Freda Laverne Walker Holmes.

A resident of Harford County for 6 years, he had worked for GTE for 30 years, currently with Nextel, as a project manager. He was a very proud veteran who received two Purple Hearts and took two tours of duty with the Navy Sea-bees.

Mr. Holmes is survived by his wife, Linda Louise Chambers Holmes; two daughters, Kimra Lynn Simmons of Abingdon; Crystal Ann McGaffick of Moreno Valley, California; five brothers, John W. Holmes of Fresno, CA; Don Holmes of Awatukee, AZ; Ronald Holmes of Texas; Jim Holmes of California; Steven Lynn Holmes of San Bernardino, CA; four grandchildren, Katherine Laraine Holmes; Matthew Robert Madison Holmes, both of Moreno Valley, CA; David Michael Simmons; and Nicholas Madison Simmons, both of Abingdon.
