Robert M. Smith Jr.

Robert M. Smith Jr., age 63, of Perryman, MD, died on March 22, 2009 at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of Robert Maurice and Margaret Caroline Conklin Smith of Perryman, MD. He had worked in communications as an electrical power engineer. He enjoyed watching nature, especially birds, and sitting on his boat rocking in the water. He also enjoyed hanging out with family and friends and picking country and western tunes on his guitar. His family said he loved John Wayne movies.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Irma Jean Doss Smith of Perryman, MD; brother, James Edward Smith of Aberdeen, MD; sister, Barbara Jean Gray of Rising Sun, MD; nephews, James Wiley Easter IV, Jeromy Garon Easter, Sabastian Randolph Smith; three great nephews and two great nieces. He was predeceased by his sister, Carolyn Anna Smith.
