Robert M. Jenkins

September 23, 1931 — June 16, 2003

ROBERT M. JENKINS, 71, of Edgewood, died at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on June 16, 2003. Born in Woodstock, Maryland, he was the son of the late Jasdelmar and Ethel Ruth Platt Jenkins and the husband of the late Viola M. Dozier Jenkins. He was retired from Whiting and Turner, Baltimore where he was a carpenter. He served his country in the U. S. Army during WWII. An avid crabber and fisherman, he was a member of the Association of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and the American Legion. He enjoyed playing shuffle board.

Mr. Jenkins is survived by two daughters, Janice L. McLaughlin of Bel Air and Valerie L. Weaver of North East; two step-sons, William McKoy of Jackson, Tennessee and Dwight McKoy of Fallston; four step-daughters, Eloise Bell of Belcamp, Billie Jean Bowman of Ardmore, Tennessee, Mary Anna Chester of Jackson, Tennessee and Francine Darin of Franklin, Tennessee; a sister, Viola Povleski of Baltimore; 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by two sisters, Hazel Williams and Midge Meadowcroft.
