Robert Lee Shewell

Robert Lee Shewell, 68, of Joppa, MD, passed away on February 15, 2015 at his home. Born in Baltimore, he is the son of the late Robert Edward and Evelyn Ruth Rexroth Shewell. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was retired from the State of Maryland Department of the Environment as a Waste Water Management Supervisor. He was a member and volunteer of the VFW Holiday Florida Post and the American Legion Post 130 in Perry Hall. He loved the outdoors, crabbing, fishing, yard work, playing his drums, crossword puzzles and dogs.

Mr. Shewell is survived by his wife, Nancy J. Kelley Shewell; children, Steven Shewell of Atlanta, GA and Karin Pollock of Honolulu, HI; step children, Alisha Mills of Baltimore, Zabrina Mills of Port Deposit and Nicole Mills of Bowleys Quarters; grandchildren, Zachary and Hailey Pollock; great grandchildren, Keegan, Raiden and Abilene Pollock; and his nephew, Christopher Cox of Rosedale.

Visitation will be held at McComas Funeral Home, Abingdon, MD on Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 2-3 pm with a memorial service following at 3pm.
