Robert L. Schnell

ROBERT L. SCHNELL, age 82, of Fallston, MD, died on April 24, 2007. Born on February 12, 1925 in Lima, OH, he was the son of the late Charles Theodore and Gladys Orilla Spahr Schnell. Corporal Schnell served in the United States Marine Corp as a Presidential Guard for Roosevelt and in occupied Japan. Robert married Hilda Mary Cronin on May 15, 1944 and they shared over 62 happy years. He retired from the C&P Telephone Company after 37 years of service. As an officer and active member of the Wally Bynam Caravan Club International, DELMARVA unit, he towed his Airstream trailer across most of the lower 48 states. Bob was a 32nd degree Mason and member of the Baltimore Boumi Temple. His interests included family, model trains, the Harford Region Antique Car Club and the Baltimore Model A Club.

Mr. Schnell is survived by his wife Hilda Schnell of Fallston, MD; son John Charles Schnell and his spouse, Jackie, of Fallston, MD; one sister, Margarite Dodge of Lima, OH; three grandchildren, Holly Upton of Millersville, MD, Jennifer Hill and Melissa Tilley, both of Bel Air, MD, and spouses J Upton and Chris Hill; and four great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by their daughter, Joan Carol Tilley.
