Robert L. Kirkwood

Robert L. Kirkwood, age 80, of Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania passed away on August 7, 2023 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Baltimore City, Maryland, he was the son of William and Luella (Kenly) Kirkwood. He was a veteran of the Maryland Army National Guard and graduated from North Harford High School. He retired from Harford County Government as a Project Manager, Inspector III and was a member of the Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company for 50 years. Robert was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and member of the Coffee Club in Jarrettsville, MD for over 40 years. He loved sports, especially the Orioles and Ravens and went to the Orioles Fantasy Camp. He enjoyed playing baseball and basketball and loved bowling. He was on a bowling league at Bel Air Bowl, Forest Hill Lanes and also bowled in Loganville, PA.
     
Robert is survived by his wife Cathy Kirkwood; sons, S. Craig Kirkwood and wife Roxanne of Dallastown, PA and Jason Birley and wife Dawn of Fawn Grove, PA; daughters, Tracy Kirkwood Raab and husband Thomas of Delta, PA and Jill Birley of Bel Air; grandchildren, Katelynn Kirkwood of York, PA, Thomas J. Raab III , Travis J. Raab and Timothy Robert Raab, all of Delta, PA, Austin Birley of Fawn Grove, PA, Brittany Smith and husband Michael of Delta, PA and Briana Boyd of Fawn Grove, PA; and great-grandson, Cohen J. Raab of Delta, PA. 
 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Barry Kirkwood.
