Robert J. Myers

Robert Jerrold Myers, Born in Aurora W.V., January 25, 1941, to the late Paul and Ethel (Blamble) Myers. He grew up in a small mining town in Farmington, W.V. and graduated from Fairmont State College with a BA in industrial arts. He later received his Masters degree from W.V.U., Morgantown, W.V.

Robert Married his high school sweetheart Betty Brown in 1963, relocated to Maryland and taught at Edgewood High school for 30 years.

Bob was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed scouting with his son. His daughter was very special and made him a grandfather 2 times. He was a member of Abingdon BPOE #2354 for 53 years. His grandchildren brought him the greatest joy, especially when they said the word Bapa.

Bob enjoyed delivering meals on wheels after his retirement. He loved his family and close friends. Bob was kind, caring and compassionate to others. He loved helping others. Some of his hobbies were fishing, hunting, gardening, and woodworking.

In addition to his loving wife, Robert is survived by Son Darren (Amanda) Myers; daughter Lisa (Brian) Bangs; granddaughter Faith Bangs; grandson Ronin Bangs; Sister Carol Oliverio; Niece Nicole Riley; grand-dogs Lily, Barkley, Jasper.

In addition to his parents, Robert is predeceased by his daughter Jennifer Lynne Myers.
