Robert "Hap" A. Wells, age 86, of Bel Air, MD, died on September 7, 2010 at Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Overlea, MD, he was the son of the late Alfred Wells Jr. and Lillian R. Weinkam Wells. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country during WWII. He was a math teacher and the principal at Patterson High School in Baltimore City, MD. He played men's baseball on an Overlea team, loved golfing, and fishing, at which he loved tying his own flies.
Mr. Wells is survived by his sons, Robert Wells Jr. of Westminster, MD, Neal Wells of Ocean City, MD, and David Wells of Middle River, MD; daughter, Sharon Wagner Wells of Los Angeles, CA; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Dan Sardeson of Perry Hall, MD; a niece and nephew; dear companion, Gracie M. Mabe of Bel Air, MD and her extended family; several cousins; four grandchildren, Rachel and James Wagner, both of Los Angeles, CA, and Neal Wells Jr. and Mary Wells Browning, both of Westminster, MD; and two great-grandchildren.
