Robert Emmett Cox

ROBERT EMMETT COX, age 90, of Bel Air, died in Mariner Health of Bel Air on June 7, 2004. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late Charles Franklin and Gertrude Murphy Cox, and the husband for 56 years of the late Elizabeth Ann Hannegan Cox. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois and earned a masters degree from Iowa State. From 1952 to 1977 he worked at Edgewood Arsenal and retired as a chemical engineer. He would spend hours tinkering with things mechanically. A resident of Harford County for 66 years, he and his wife loved to travel and enjoyed history. He was the youngest of four siblings.

Mr. Cox is survived by one daughter, Barbara C. Brennan of Cypress, Texas; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Brennan of Texas; Allison Brennan Lamporte of Surf City, North Carolina; Megan Rita Owen of Manvel, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Luke Joseph Lamporte of Surf City, North Carolina; Brennan Grace Owen of Manvel, Texas; and Mary Beth Lamporte of Surf City, North Carolina; and five nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by one daughter, Judith Eustace.
