ROBERT EDWARD BROWN, age 80, of Edgewood, died at his residence on April 18, 2004. Born in Tazwell, Virginia, he was the son of the late Edward and Ida Mae Sargent Brown and the husband for 49 years of the late N. Ruth Matthews Brown. He had worked for 30 years as a mechanic for the Belco Rubber Factory in Kingsville. He had also worked at the Churchville Quarry for 17 years. A Maryland resident for 63 years, he was a member of the Harvest Community Church. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Mr. Brown is survived by two sons, Ronald D. Brown of Churchville; James E. Brown of Nottingham, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Mary E. Burchette of Aberdeen; Rita F. Butler of Edgewood; four sisters, Judy Branham of Virginia; Mary Able of Virginia; Dorothy Cook of North Carolina; Edna Boutchyard of Virginia; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by one son, Robert W. Brown; two brothers, Harvey Brown; and Johnny Brown.
Pallbearers will be: Ronnie Butler; Clarence Kahl, Leroy Quick, Kirk Janney, David Butler, and Gary Richards. Honorary pallbearers will be: Sean Brown, Joey Brown, and Allen Deems.
