Robert E. Haskin, age 86, of Glen Rock, PA passed away on March 22, 2017. Born in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Abbott Choate and Charlotte (Nye) Haskin. He graduated from Mountain Home High School in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was a 1953 graduate of the US Naval Academy and had served our country during the Korean War. He retired from AT&T (Western Electric) after 25 years of service and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Before moving to Glen Rock, he had lived in Bel Air for 20 years and was a former member of Bel Air United Methodist Church where he served as an usher. He was also active in the Boy Scouts while living in Bel Air. He was a member of the Glen Rock American Legion Post #403 and held several positions within the organization. He was also a life member of the West York VFW Post #8951, and a member of the "Gallon Club" with the American Red Cross having donated over 25 gallons of blood over his lifetime.
Mr. Haskin is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lois A. Haskin; three daughters, Deborah J. Haskin of Tampa, FL, Gail (Bob Saunders) A. Adams of Bel Air and Pamela K. Haskin of North Port, FL; grandchildren, Eli and wife Becky, Ben, and Marshall Adams, Nicole Phillips (Daniel); and four great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey A. Haskin, and brother, Charles Haskin.
