Robert "Bobby B" Wayne Berends, age 68, of Joppa, Maryland passed away on June 26, 2023 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late George and Dolores Berends and husband of the late Beverly Ann Berends. Bobby B was well known as the "Karaoke King" at the Towne Pub and Grill in Joppatowne, Maryland and the American Legion in Edgewood. As a dedicated member of the Edgewood American Legion, he was the Event Coordinator and was to be inducted as a commander this summer.
Bobby B loved to camp, boat, and all things music! He was a member of bands throughout his younger years and performed in local bar bands as a lead singer. Bobby B worked as a security supervisor at Mercy Medical Center and University of Maryland in Security for many years making lifelong friends and just recently worked with a local security company.
Bobby B was all about his family and was so very proud of his children and grandchildren. Bobby B made friends everywhere he went and had an abundance of friends that were like family at the “Pub” and “Legion”.
He will be sorely missed by so many.
Robert is survived by his; sons, James Berends, and John Bazemore and his fiancée, Renee Pisani; daughter, Chastity (Roger) Main; grandchildren, Alanna (Ryan) Long, Kendell Main, Chastity Berends, and Heaven Berends; and brother, Mark Berends.
In addition to his parents and wife, Bobby B was preceded in death by his, daughter, Dolly Berends, and brothers, Thomas Berends, and Will Berends.
Contributions may be made to Edgewood American Legion in Bobby B’s name.
