Robert "Bob" R. Imbierowicz Sr., of Bel Air, a family man, Army veteran, pharmacist and sports fan who rooted for Maryland teams, died August 7 at his home. He was 85.
Born in Baltimore, he was the son of Daniel B. Imbierowicz and Helen A. Potocki Lebrun. He attended Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. After serving in the Army, he attended the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in Baltimore, one of the oldest institutions of its kind in the U.S., graduating in 1955.
He began his career in pharmacology working for Read’s Drug Store in Baltimore, and subsequently worked for the Beacon Drug Store in the East Baltimore neighborhood of Gardenville then at Northern Pharmacy, also in the city. He would later retire from the Thrift Drug at Campus Hills in Churchville.
His fondness for sports extended to attending his three sons’ athletic events, and he also relished family time, especially with his grandchildren. He particularly enjoyed family vacations, especially at the beach. A man of faith, he was a member of the St. Margaret Catholic Church in Bel Air.
