Robert "Bob" Nicewander

Robert "Bob" Nicewander, age 84, of Aberdeen, Maryland passed away on May 18, 2023 at his home. Born in Boone, North Carolina, he was the son of Eugene and Geneva (Osborne) Nicewonder and husband of the late Virginia (Blanford) Nicewander. Bob retired in 1999 from Harford County Public Schools where he worked as a guidance counselor at North Harford High and Middle Schools after 28 years of service. He received his bachelor’s degree in education from Concord University in Athens, West Virginia, master’s degree in education from the College of William & Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia and completed his post graduate program at Loyola College in Baltimore. He enjoyed photography, computers, classic cars as well as collecting and restoring vintage radios and televisions. He had a soft spot in his heart for animals and pets. 

Bob is survived by his sons, R. Dean Nicewander, Sr. (Valerie) and Darryl K. Nicewander (Heidi); grandchildren, Bobby Nicewander, Jr. (Candice), Brandon Nicewander (Jessica) and Tawni McCracken (Kyle); great-grandchildren, Calleigh & Carter Nicewander, Weslee Nicewander, Jemma & Jaylee McCracken; sisters, Anna Childers, Donna Bensey and Rebecca Kirkpatrick; and his dog, Cajun.
