Robert "Bob" John Swalin

Robert "Bob" John Swalin, age 74, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on May 12, 2021 at Franklin Square Hospital in Rosedale, Maryland. Born in Washington, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Elmer and Olive (Drury) Swalin. He was a member of NRA, Maryland Yacht Club, Maryland Cruising Club, Bel Air Gun Club and the Northeast Gun Range. He enjoyed boating, target shooting, hunting, riding his Harley Davidson, attending his grandchildren's activities, and yard work.

Robert is survived by his wife of 23 years, Shirley Swalin; son, Jason Swalin (Shelley); daughter, Danielle Westpheling (Todd); stepdaughters, Holly Battaglia and Becky Traynor; grandchildren Tyler Swalin, Ryan Swalin, Brandon Battaglia, Kyle Hayes, Hanna Swalin, Riley Battaglia, Michael Traynor and Jennifer Traynor; great-grandchild, Bentley Hayes; and brother, Elmer Charles Swalin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carole Lee Swalin-Hill. Visitation will be held under the caring guidance of the family owned and operated McComas Funeral Home on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Services will be held on May 21, 2021, at McComas Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Highview Memorial Gardens.
