Robert "Bob" W. Havener, age 83, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2024, at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Windber, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Clarence Havener and Betty (Snyder) Harding, and the beloved husband of 56 years to Linda (Haydo) Havener.
Bob proudly served his country as a U.S. Army veteran. He was a devoted member of Fallston United Methodist Church and an enthusiastic participant in Rock Steady Boxing in Forest Hill, where he made many close friendships. Professionally, Bob worked as an Executive Recruiter with Sales World for 20 years before starting his own business, RWH Associates, which he successfully ran from 1992 until his retirement in 2008.
Outside of work, Bob found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid golfer, a dedicated gardener, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends by his pool and at the beach. Above all, Bob treasured the time spent with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; daughters, Elizabeth (Steven) Gardner and Amy (Kevin) Pumphrey; grandchildren, Kathleen Gardner, Benjamin Gardner, Kyle Pumphrey, Anna Pumphrey, and Ethan Pumphrey; his brother, David Havener; and sister, Linda Clark. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Havener, and sister, Karen Stinger.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rally Against Parkinson’s, PO Box 221, Bel Air, MD 21014.
