Robert "Bob" E. Brower of Abingdon, MD, died on June 2, 2016 at the age of 91 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Waynesboro, VA to David Earl and Ruth McCoy (Hiner) Brower, he served our country in the U.S. Army in WWII. A warehouse and rigging foreman for the U.S. Government, he was also a member of the VFW in Abingdon, American Legion, Otter Point Yacht Club and the Gunpowder Neck Boat Club. He was strong, gentle and loving (not to mention his movie-star good looks) and was always happy to see you. He never complained and no one ever saw him get angry. (Well….. maybe at the motor in his boat.)
Mr. Brower is survived by his wife, Billie Brower; daughter, Aleta Daley (Albert) of Pasadena; step children, Samuel Teate (Pat) of Port Richey, FL, Jeffrey Teate (Laura) of Aberdeen, Cheryl Whited (Bob) of Elkton and Robyn Garrett (Rolfe) of Forest Hill; brothers, Walter Brower (Margaret) of Monument, CO and William Brower (Vergie) of Waynesboro, VA; sister, Ann Yeago (Meredith) of Staunton, VA; grandsons, Lawrence Daley (Rachel) and Justin Daley; step grandchildren, Amber Wall, Ashley Muir (Todd) and Reba McKenzie (Nate); and great grandchildren, Kenny, Rowan, Wyatt, Nathan, Zander, Alyssia, Layla and Ross. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers David Earl Brower Jr. and James Brower; and grandson Sean Riley.
