Robert B. Farrington

Robert B. Farrington, age 85, of Edgewood, MD passed away on May 31, 2017 at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium, MD. Born in McGrady, NC, he was the son of Freddie Sylvester and Emeline (Taylor) Farrington, and was the husband of the late Mary (Fleming) Farrington and Virginia Lacy Farrington. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he worked at APG Edgewood Arsenal for most of his life as a sheet metal mechanic. After retirement, he worked as a bus driver for Harford Transit and also volunteered at the Aberdeen Senior Center. He enjoyed bowling, boating, camping, gardening, and loved his Jack Russell Terriers. He was a member of Towne Baptist Church in Joppa.

Robert is survived by Sassy, his beloved dog of 17 years, and many nieces and nephews. He was cared for in recent months by his niece, Grace Orteza-Lopez and her husband Mario Lopez, along with their children Nicholas and Olivia.

In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Fred Farrington, Hayden Farrington, Wayne Farrington, Gladys Ellis, Arlene Driggs and Clella Yarbrough.

The family wishes to thank Heartland Hospice and Stella Maris for their care and support in recent months.
