Rita Regina Di Iorio

Rita Regina Di Iorio, age 82, of Abingdon, MD passed away on June 28, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Towson, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Salvatore and Filippa (Sparacino) Brusio and was the wife of the late Carmine Di Iorio. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing, photography, and gardening at which she especially liked growing her own herbs. She also liked watching golf, EWTN the Turner classic movie channel, and This Old House because it reminded her of her husband.

Mrs. Di Iorio is survived by daughter, Luisa M. Di Iorio of Abingdon; two sons, Salvatore Di Iorio of Fruit Cove, FL and Carmine Di Iorio of Essex; two daughters-in-law, Renee Di Iorio of Fruit Cove, FL and Debra Di Iorio of Essex; brothers, Martin Brusio of MD and Vince Brusio of Aberdeen, MD; two sisters, Sarah V. DeFatta of Rosedale and Jeanette Katen of Forest Hill; grandchildren, Salvatore, Angelo, Christina, Anthony, Alyssa, Celina, and Deanna; and great grandchild, Kamden.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Doyle, Rose Stefanoni, Teresa Brusio, Joseph Brusio and Phillip Brusio.
