Rita C. Dekowski

On Friday October 16, 2020 Rita (Yurek) Dekowski loving wife and mother passed away at age 91.

Rita was born January 6, 1929 to John J. and Anna (Krupinski) Yurek in Baltimore, Maryland. On April 13, 1947 she married Darnell I Dekowski. They raised 2 children, Diann and Don.

Rita was a loving and open person who never met a stranger. She was always active in volunteer work including EANGUS Auxillary, Meals on Wheels, Rosedale Recreation Center, and most recently being a prolific stocking cap knitter for the people in need. Rita found purpose in volunteering and helping wherever she could.

Rita is preceded in death by her husband, parents and 11 siblings. She is survived by daughter Diann, son-in-law Roger Kittok, son Don, daughter-in-law Marie, Grandchildren Amanda Fink (Joshua), Daniel Dekowski (Megan), Adam Kittok (Yen) and Timothy Dekowski (Amber), Great Grand Children, Alyssa Kittok, Cooper Fink, Brenna Dekowski, Remy and Kellen Fink and Brooks Dekowski and several loving nieces and nephews.

Immediate family only graveside services will be conducted through the McComas Funeral Home on Wednesday October 21, 2020 at BelAir Memorial Gardens. A post graveside services video will be available on the McComas Funeral Home Website.
