RICHARD “DICK” W. SYLVESTER, age 77, of Edgewood, MD, died on June 1, 2007 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD. Born in Haverhill, MA, he was the son of the late Charles Wesley Sylvester and Doris Louise Brocklebank Gowan and husband, for 55 years, of the late Helen I. Amos Sylvester. A veteran, he retired as Master Sergeant after 22 years in the Air Force and worked at Harford Machine Shop as a machinist. As an artist, he hosted “Come Paint With Me” on the Harford Cable Network. A devout Christian, he attended The Church at Riverside and loved being around his family.
Mr. Sylvester is survived by one daughter, Judy L. Boothe of Edgewood, MD; one granddaughter, Lisa M. Brooks of Belcamp, MD; two great-grandchildren, Andrew M. Brooks and Ian C. Brooks, both of Belcamp, MD; niece, Deana L. Keifer of Bel Air, MD, and great nieces, Heather N. Stone, Alexis I. Stone and Chelsea E. Keifer, all of Bel Air, MD; niece, Stacey M. Amos of Bel Air, MD, and great nephews, Anthony R. Crookshanks, Joshua J. Crookshanks and Kyle W. Crookshanks, all of Bel Air, MD.
