Richard Vito Genna, Jr.

Richard Vito Genna, Jr., age 22, of Abingdon, MD, died suddenly on Sunday, April 4, 2010. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Donna Rae Shivery Genna-Walters of Abingdon, MD and the late Richard Vito Genna Sr. A 2005 graduate of Edgewood High School, he worked as an installation mechanic in the heating and air conditioning business. He enjoyed playing sports in school and with Parks and Recreation, and was a Dolphins fan. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Jessica Marie Randall Genna of Edgewood, MD; brother, Jack Lee Fritts III and wife, Allison Nicole, of Joppa, MD; sisters, Haley and Delanie Genna both of Darlington, MD; stepfather, Thomas P. Walters of Abingdon, MD; grandparents, Jim and Anne Genna of Abingdon, MD and Herb and Barbara Shivery of North East, MD; parents-in-law, Deborah Ann and Raymond William Randall of Edgewood, MD; goddaughter, Alexis Fritts of Joppa, MD; uncle, James Thomas Genna; cousin, James Thomas Genna Jr. and his fiancee, Jennifer Sawyer.
