Richard S. Welsh

Richard S. Welsh, age 92, of Forest Hill, Maryland passed away on February 20, 2020 at Forest Hill Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born in New York City, New York, he was the son of the late James K. and Esther (Stuart) Welsh and husband of the late Julia (Grotevant) Welsh. He served with the U.S. Marines during WWII and was a member of the China Marines organization. He was a man of many talents with a passion as a crane and dozer operator, trucker and storytelling. He was married to his wife for 69 years who proceeded him in death.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Mary Bolton and her husband Gregory of Bel Air, MD and their children Pamela (Wockenfuss) and Barry including 4 great grandchildren; and three sons, Richard Welsh, Jr. and his wife Joyce of Bunker Hill, WV and their sons Richard III and Gregory including 5 great grandchildren, David Welsh of Largo, Fl and his son David and Michael Welsh of Orlando, FL and his son Michael.

Burial of his and his wife’s urn will take place in a military cemetery.
