RICHARD ROBERT PEARSON, age 65, of Aberdeen, Maryland died in Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Baltimore on July 2, 2003. Born in Lewiston, Maine, he was the son of Florence Gagnon Pearson of Aberdeen and the late Howard Pearson. A Harford County resident for 27 years, he had retired from the U.S. Navy as a naval airtraffic controller after 21 years of honorable service. He served on CV42 U.S.S. Franklin D. Roosevelt Aircraft Carrier. He also worked on Aberdeen Proving Ground for a private contractor for 25 years. He went to Saudi Arabia to train the Saudis about air traffic control with the Bendix Company for 2 years. He enjoyed wood working, model trains, computers, and model airplanes. He was an avid bowler.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Pearson is survived by his wife of 44 years, Margaret A. Kahaloa Pearson; two sons, Leslie R. Pearson and his wife, Helen R. Pearson of California, Maryland; Lance J. Pearson of Aberdeen; three daughters, Lisa A. Marshall of Aberdeen; Lorrie B. Geiger of Live Oak, Florida; Linda K. Pearson of Aberdeen; one sister, Marlene Couchon of Lake City, Florida; 10 grandchildren, Aja P. Suit of Georgia; Leilani R. Pearson of California, Maryland; Trisha L. Ames of Live Oak, Florida; Matthew K. Suit of Aberdeen; Charles H. Geiger, Jr. of Live Oak, Florida; Gary K. Pearson of Sicily, Italy; Chris M. Pearson of Havre de Grace; Haunani E. Pearson of California, Maryland; Danielle R. Pearson of Aberdeen; Joey K. Pearson of California, Maryland; two great-granddaughters, Allison U. and Lorrie Beth. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by one grandson, Geremy A. Suit.
