Richard Lee Hughes, Sr.

RICHARD LEE HUGHES, SR., age 63, of Street, MD, died on June 23, 2006 at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Born in Hanover, PA, he was the son of Margaret Ledlich Hughes of Gulf Breeze, FL and the late Raymond Harry Hughes. He was a graduate of Edgewood High School and an employee of the Aberdeen Proving Ground for 37 years. He was active in parks and recreation, especially baseball and basketball. He was an active member of the Amateur Trap Shooting Association and he enjoyed playing cards, fishing, hunting and crabbing.

Mr. Hughes is survived by his wife, Lynette Hughes of Street, MD; two sons, Richard Lee Hughes, Jr., and his wife, Michele, of Baldwin, MD and Donald Harry Hughes of Manassas, VA; one brother, Raymond E. Hughes, and his wife, Joanna, of Forest Hill, MD; one sister, Linda Ayres, and her husband, Arthur, of Gulf Breeze, FL; 11 nieces and nephews; and 12 grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
