Richard James Hisley, age 68, of Abingdon, MD passed away on February 10, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of John Edward and Mildred Anatasia (Bejvan) Hisley and devoted husband of Rosanna Polino Hisley. He was a Veteran of the Air National Guard, retiring with the rank of Colonel. Through the Ranger Rosaries ministry, he made rosaries for armed service members. He volunteered as a tax-preparer through AARP for four months yearly. He was the "Director of Transportation" for grandchildren, nieces and nephews, always willing to take a detour to McDonalds or, as those children became teens, Starbucks. A sender of countless “Santa” letters and birthday cards annually, he made sure that other people knew that they were important.
