Richard ''Dick'' V. Fonzi Sr.

RICHARD "DICK" V. FONZI SR., age 79, of Bel Air, MD for the past 12 years, formerly of Middle River for 52 years, died on July 25, 2008 at Lorien of Bel Air. Born in Port Royal, PA, he was the son of the late James Victor Fonzi and the late Pearl Leone McMillion Timm. He retired from Eastern Stainless as a steel worker. He was a wonderful loving and dedicated husband, father, "Pop Pop" and "Poppy", and will be truly missed by all. An avid gardener, he loved his 44 rose bushes, fishing, especially feeding the wildlife and deer in his back yard. "Fonz" had many friends and enjoyed hanging out with them at their well known hangout "Coffmans Snack Bar" in Middle River.

Mr. Fonzi is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Paradise Fonzi of Bel Air, MD; two sons, Richard Victor Fonzi Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO and Stephen Kenneth Fonzi of Mountain Lake Park, MD; three daughters, Sheryle Lynn Fonzi of Belcamp, MD, Valerie Jo Bates of Darlington, MD, and Kimberly Ann Cirrani of Forest Hill, MD; eighteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth Fonzi and Raymond Fonzi.
