Richard Allen Glassman

RICHARD "ALLEN" GLASSMAN, age 44, died on January 23, 2008 at his sister's home in Abingdon, MD where he was residing, after a short battle with lung cancer. Allen was born January 16, 1964 in Baltimore, MD, the son of Betty Victoria Houck Hartman of New Oxford, PA and the late John Robert Glassman, Sr. He worked as a diesel mechanic and enjoyed fishing and working on cars. He enjoyed having his family around him and could always be heard saying "It is what it is".

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Marie Glassman of Edgewood, MD; two sons, Justin Craig Glassman of Baltimore, MD and Ryan Allen Glassman of Edgewood, MD; a daughter, Kayla Nicole Glassman of Edgewood, MD; one brother, John Robert Glassman Jr. of Manchester, MD; three sisters, Carol Haga of Abingdon, MD, Donna Conneally of Bel Air, MD, and Denise Ralph of Joppa, MD; two grandchildren, Carter James Glassman and Kasiah Marie Gadson, both of Edgewood, MD; and grandmother, Helen Houck of Lineboro, MD.
