Renee Suzanne Main

Renee Suzanne Main, age 59, of Abingdon, MD, passed away on November 13, 2014 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Long Beach, CA, she was the daughter of the late Paul Russell and Lois Mae Sergeant Des Jardins. She worked for Aberdeen Proving Ground in Youth Services where she directed Before and After School Care and Summer Programs. She was a member of Emmorton Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir, working in the ladies' group, teaching children and supporting worship services at the Lorien Assisted Living in Bel Air and the Karis Home for Women in Baltimore. She was an avid amateur photographer, clown, gardener, quilter, nature enthusiast, loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed entering the fruits of her hobbies into the Harford County and Maryland State Fairs. She was always active in various organizations through the years, including the Long Beach Council of Campfire Girls, Girl Scouts and most recently with the Harford County 4H Club, where she represented Military 4H Clubs. Renee never met a stranger. Everyone was a friend.

Mrs. Main is survived by her husband of 36 years, Larry Main; son, Russell J. Main of Boyertown, PA; daughter, Nicole M. Schmitt of Huntsville, AL; brother, Stephen R. Des Jardins of Encinitas, CA; and granddaughter, Kaylee Schmitt of Huntsville, AL.
