Regina ''Jean'' Archer Haslbeck

Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and wife speaks volumes for the life of Regina 'Jean' Haslbeck, 94, who passed away on March 6 in Seattle, WA. She was born on November 25, 1921 to Daniel Trainor Archer and Helen Hopkins Magness in Harford County, Maryland where she lived most of her life.

Jean grew up in Bel Air, Maryland and attended Bel Air High School. She married Salvatore William Guercio in 1937 and had 3 children: Jody, Regina and Paul. She remarried in 1959 to George Young and in 1979 to Mathieu Haslbeck. Jean was a real-estate investor and successful business woman. She loved to travel and was devoted to her children and grandchildren and they adored her.

Jean is survived by her daughter Regina Hall and her husband, McClure Hall of Seattle, WA; 5 grandchildren: Lori Mains Afflerbach and her husband Robert Afflerbach of Sammamish, WA; Arthur 'Chip' Schwerzel of Sammamish, WA; McClure Hall, Jr. and his wife Britt of Bellevue, WA; Rodney Hall and his wife Megan of Bellevue, WA; and Michael Guercio and his wife Bridget of Front Royal, VA; 13 great-grandchildren: Alicia Fuller, Michael, Joseph, Nicolas and Brittany Mains; Madison and Jourdan Schwerzel; Matthew and Shelby Hall; Lauren and Blake Hall; Matthew and Alex Guercio; and 5 great-great grandchildren: Jacob, Ana, Isaiah, Imy Fuller and Declan Mains.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband Mathieu; sister Anna Whitaker; her daughter Jody Murphy (survived by her husband Roger) and her son Paul W. Guercio (survived by his wife Maxine).

A funeral service will be held in Joppa, Maryland at Mountain Christian Church at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 12, 2016. Visitation with the family will be from 9:30-10 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Mountain Christian Church Cemetery with a reception to follow.
