Reda Virginia Hartzell Burk, age 95, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on January 31, 2023 at her home. Born in Aberdeen, Maryland, she was the daughter of William Walter and Ethel (Piner) Hartzell and wife of the late Marshall Burk. Reda started her Civil Service career with the Department of Justice as a Hearing Stenographer for Ellis Island processing immigrants. She worked for the Department of Army at APG as a secretary to six commanding generals and retired as an Administrative Officer.
Reda is survived by her brother, Marland D. Hartzell; sister, Ellen G. McKenna; grandchildren, Richard (Dana) Trader, Jr. and Kelly (Catalina) Luna; great grandchildren, Jackson Trader and Wesley Trader; numerous nieces and nephews, and dear family friends Sarah Rech & Steve Weber.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Dian Leibowitz, brothers, Charles Edwin Hartzell and Louis L. Hartzell, and sister, Wanda J. Leva.
