Rebecca L. Davis

Rebecca L. Davis, age 89, of Aberdeen, Maryland passed away on December 7, 2021 at Abbey Manor in Elkton, Maryland. Born in Chilhowie, Virginia, she was the daughter of David and Eva (Wyatt) Hill and wife of the late John Kelley Davis. She lived her entire life for the Lord and was a faithful member of Mt. Carmel Primitive Baptist Church where she loved her church family. She played Bluegrass music with her husband, was a gifted artist, great seamstress, artistic and creative. She was a wonderful homemaker, great cook and enjoyed hosting people at her home, great neighbor, nurturing friend and beautiful caregiver to her husband. As her niece described her, she was spice and honey in one little package.     

Rebecca is survived by her daughters, Julia Hayes (Mike), Janet Davis, Peggy Franklin and Caroline Davis; son, John Davis II (Priscilla); brothers, Jack Hill, Robert Hill and Max Hill; grandchildren, Brian Hayes (Sue), Michael Hayes, Tim Smith (Kelly), Chris Smith, Andrew Franklin (Sarah), Kathryn Clarke (Jamie), Lauren Davis and John Davis III; great grandchildren, Emmitt Hayes, Reuben Hayes, Kirsten Smith, Addy Smith, Jimmie John and Matthan Clarke and Judellia Clarke, Michael Hayes and Aurora Hayes.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Elva Davis, brothers, Herbert Hill and Walter Hill and 2 baby sisters.
