Rebecca Jean Woods

REBECCA JEAN WOODS, age 50, of Edgewood, MD, died on January 11, 2008 at her home. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Robert Kenneth and Connie Combs Smith of Edgewood, MD. She was the assistant manager at Smith’s Care for the Elderly in Edgewood and was the owner and operator of Becks Transporting which professionalized the transport of handicapped people. A past member of the Church of Jesus, she loved Jesus, children and hymns. She was adored by her grandchildren who called her ma’am.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Woods is survived by her husband of 29 years, James M. Woods of Edgewood, MD; a daughter, Jessica Mae Snyder and her husband, Allan L. Snyder Jr., of Delta, PA; a brother, Robert W. Smith of Edgewood, MD; two sisters, Janet Smith Morgan of Denver, CO and Susan Smith Sanders of Abingdon, MD; and two grandchildren, Bailey Colin Snyder and Kyleigh Jean Snyder, both of Delta, PA. She was predeceased by two brothers, Phillip Rodney Smith and Benjamin Joseph Smith; and a sister, Linda C. Smith.

Pallbearers were James Woods, Jessica Snyder, Allen Snyder, Roy Woods, Kenny Blevins, and James Gullion. Honorary pallbearer was Bobby Smith.
