Rebecca Lynne Fender, age 69, of Abingdon, Maryland, passed away on February 8, 2025, at AccentCare @ Franklin Square in Rosedale, Maryland.
Born in Harford County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Helen (Pace) Wampler and the beloved wife of the late Ray R. Fender. Rebecca and her family were originally from Appalachia, and she remained deeply connected to her roots, taking great pride in supporting the community during the most recent disaster and times of need.
A woman of strong faith, Rebecca was a past member and attendee of Mt. Calvary Free Will Baptist Church in Perryman, Maryland. She had a passion for cooking and baking, found joy in tending to her flowers, and was devoted to her family. She cherished family gatherings and showed her love by decorating the graves of her loved ones for every holiday, ensuring they were always remembered.
Rebecca’s presence will be dearly missed by her family and her cherished cat, Callie.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Lynne (David) Greenspun; her brother, Steve E. Wampler; and her sister-in-law, Martha Romero.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Jacob Parcell.
