Raymond S. Johnston

October 9, 1925 — November 6, 2009

Raymond S. Johnston, age 84, of Fallston, MD, died on November 6, 2009 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Idlewild, NC, he was the son of Rosa Lee Hartzog Johnston of Bel Air, MD, and the late Raymond Fletcher Johnston. A resident of Harford County for 45 years, he worked at Bethlehem Steel for 38 years, retiring in 1982. A member of Harford Region Antique Auto Club where he enjoyed fellowship with everyone, he had a love for automobiles, especially an antique 1940 Chevrolet restoration. He had a passion for golf and was a past member at Sparrows Point Golf Club and a member, for many years, at Winters Run Golf Club, and had won the Harford County Senior Olympics golf division. He had also attended Oak Grove Baptist Church since 1965.

Mr. Johnston is survived by his wife, Eunice G. Johnston of Fallston, MD; sons, Marc Johnston of Street, MD and Sam Johnston of Bel Air, MD; and three grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Adam, and Amanda Johnston. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, William R. Johnston.
