Raymond Elwood Becker

RAYMOND ELWOOD BECKER, age 82, of Bel Air, MD, died on December 9, 2007 at his daughter’s home. Born in Freeland, PA, he was one of six children of the late Charles Frederick and Susan Gertrude Gaylor Becker and husband, for 60 years, of the late Mittie Louise Taylor Becker. An Army veteran, he served his country during WWII and was part of the D-day invasion on Omaha Beach. He worked 17 years for Bethlehem Steel and was an insurance salesman for Sunlife. He loved Big Band music.

Mr. Becker is survived by two sons, Mercer G. Taylor and his wife, Julia, of Hopewell, VA and Eugene D. Becker of Hanover, MD; one daughter, Linda C. Gregory and her husband, Robert, of Bel Air, MD; one sister, Naomi Marshall of Brunswick, MD; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
